Pastry Year in Review: 2012

Pin It I'm looking forward to 2013 but this past year has had wonderful pastry moments that I felt compelled to revisit before the new year is upon us.  Here are a few highlights from the blog...

This one I just made in an angel food pan.  If you prefer a light and spongy top instead of a crisp top, don't egg wash.  Spray the top with non-stick cooking spray and cover with foil during the bake.

Sugaring Baby!

And the last cake I made this year for a most special birthday boy:

LOL. Well there goes my new year's resolution. These all look soooo delicious.

I think I will exercise more as planned but then treat myself by making some of these treats once in a while. That way I have something to look forward to, a real piece of a good dessert.

Thanks for the summary of the recipes and the pictures of the treats!

Happy New year to everyone! :)

All I can say is WOW.

The treats you create are stunning and they truly just make you want to sit down and enjoy them.

You obviously enjoy the creative process and what you do! Which is always a great thing to start any day with!

It all inspires me to want to get in the kitchen and learn to bake!

Also reminds me of the good things Vermont has to offer (as a native Vermonter) I know how special The Green Mountain State is...

Enjoy the Vermont winter and keep up the beautiful work...

All the best in 2013!
